Fluence Z.E.
Brands
Unveiled as the Electric Version of the Fluence sedan in 2009. Renault introduced the Fluence ZE as the first car with a battery swapping functionality, called a “QuickDrop” system allowing for battery exchange at a dedicated facility in less than a minute. Battery capacity issues remain at the forefront of criticism of the ZE; some vehicle owners saw their batteries decrease from 22kWh to 16kWh capacity in only four months, minimizing the maximum range to between 70 and 90km and impacting the secondhand value of the vehicles.
